Tooth Colored (Composite) Fillings
SW Portland & NE Beaverton

When you have tooth decay, it is best to put a stop to it in order to save your natural tooth. The least invasive and most successful way to do this is with dental fillings. Once the decay is gone and the tooth is filled, it can act like a normal tooth once again, allowing you to save your natural roots and the remaining portion of the tooth that was unaffected.

Aside from the fact that composite fillings are the same color as your surrounding teeth, they offer more stability in your mouth. The resin material used for this type of filling can withstand more pressure than any other type of filling. It also requires very little tooth to be removed since the resin bonds to the tooth directly rather than filling a hole. The increase amount of your natural tooth that is saved combined with the durable resin enables you to chew hard foods that might otherwise chip or crack an amalgam filling.
